A Day of Hats

I've been slowing down on my larger projects... And I'm back to quickies. We pretty much skipped over winter this year in NYC and it's been an early spring. Little h needed some new springtime hats to go with her gorgeous self- and here they are.

Toys and Sleeves

I recently got my new Amazon Kindle Touch- and I love it so much! Naturally, I needed to make myself some beautiful sleeves for it... And here are the first two (of many more, I'm sure...). These will protect against minor bumps, bruises, and scratches, but will not protect it if your 16-month-old throws your kindle across the room.

There are also two older toys. The elephant I made a million years ago for Little h and the pony is more recent. Both are patterns by Delicious Crochet. I love them, but my own patterns are in the works... These two are great, but both took more work than I want to spend on toys! My own patterns will (hopefully) still look great, but won't take a million hours to complete. Also, that will cut the cost to anyone who orders my toys by quite a bit.

Good Excuses

Girlfriends having babies is the BEST excuse to pull out some great newborn items. I am already in LOVE with this ripple stitch blanket in grey, white, and yellow- perfect for the Mommy who likes surprises :-) And, of course, the teeny tiny newborn-sized Sleepy Owl Hat. I should have put my hand in the picture to illustrate how small it actually is... Because.... It's pretty small. And adorable. Another Owl...

The newest member of the Little h Owl Hat family.... With a great color scheme, if I do say so myself! I like that this one is neutral- could easily be for a girl or a boy.

Delicate things...

Just finished a beautiful hat and mitten set. It turned out great! The person wanted something that was very lightweight, somewhat open, and pretty enough to wear with dress clothes. I used sock weight yarn and a teeny tiny hook to create something I think is perfect. The prices on these items are a bit higher, but that is due to the extra time and effort it takes to make something with such tiny stitches. The end result is worth it- take a look! The light is terrible... But there are cute little rosettes on there.

Little h's Mini Christmas!

Finally got caught up on all the open orders I had and I finished all my Christmas WIPs. I took this morning to play around... and... I am proud to introduce the Little h Mini Christmas set!

These little guys are so cute. They make a great little centerpiece all together and I'm planning to add loops to some to hang as ornaments. The wreath would also make a great brooch. You can check them out on my flickr as well.

I also played around with some snowflake patterns from Patons and they turned out really nicely in the leftover thread I had from Little h's Birthday Dress. Working on my own designs next :-)

Lots of things have been in the works for Little h recently. I've had a bunch of new projects and I've been revamping the website to make it easier to use. Also, I am dropping the "knit" from Little h. Finding that I just love crochet SO MUCH MORE and it's much more fun to design in. I am barely making anything knitted now anyway... So.. It's going.
