I use the best materials I can find for reasonable prices. Even though I LOVE some of the super expensive yarns, I stay away. I bargain-hunt, and those savings get passed directly to you.
I use all kinds of yarn (acrylic, wool, cotton, all-natural, blends...), but I stay away from super savers that are (usually) not very soft or friendly. This means it costs a little bit more, but the finished product is a million times nicer. The only things I will agree to make out of cheap-o yarn are some toys. If you would like anything made from a specific kind of yarn (or if you want your item to be completely all-natural or eco friendly), just let me know and I can always work with that. I also try to mainly use yarns that are easy care (machine wash and dry, anti-pilling, anti-stretching) because... Well, come on! You want your item from Little h to be something you can actually use. Once in a while I do make things that don't meet all the qualities of easy care, but you can always let me know if that's ok or not.
As for the extras- buttons, zippers, snaps... I try to buy in bulk to save both of us money. This means that I will try to find something I already have to include in your item. If I don't have something that fits perfectly, though, I will buy something new. The finished product is my priority.
